Vampire bats are exclusive to South America, and even with those, your chances of getting rabies from them are about what they'd be of getting it from any other rabid animal.)
I highly doubt you're going to change your mind, but that's still an exceedingly cute little baby bat. Look at his widdle nose.

I'm not saying that it was the same for you, EllBee, since you lived in the northern wilds, but I can't help but laugh at my memories of people freaking out at crows that flew over like bats, nowhere near us.
It is always fun when a cat leaves a dead bat on your doorstep as a present.
