Rabid bats

Many of my friends and readers know that I hate bats. They terrify me. They freak me out. They should not be allowed to reproduce. Some people say, "Aww, but they're so cute." I say, "Um, NO." I offer you further proof in this article.

Oh, Ell, how could you say that this little guy isn't adorable? (By the way, most bats, including that little sweetie, eat insects or fruit. Vampire bats are exclusive to South America, and even with those, your chances of getting rabies from them are about what they'd be of getting it from any other rabid animal.)

I highly doubt you're going to change your mind, but that's still an exceedingly cute little baby bat. Look at his widdle nose.

That -- that -- that thing is NOT CUTE. AT ALL.

And now my weblog has been tainted by a picture of a bat. The end of the world is near.

[Note: I posted this link before seeing it on Dave Barry's blog. Same as the iceberg link. Hmmm, this sounds like a conspiracy to me.]

"Cute"??? Well, maybe that one. But that one is obviously both the winner of the 2004 Miss World Bat beauty pageant AND also the winner of the Miss Congeniality prize in the same contest. The rest of them spend their days finding places to hide from whence they can fly out and terrorize little girls and their mothers as soon as darkness falls.

And there you have it, Cynthia: A librarian's opinion on the bat matter. HA! ;-)

Gee, I wonder from whence cometh the bat fear. ;)

Well, maybe bats aren't cute but I can think of nothing more adorable than a mother and daughter fleeing in terror from a flying rodent who is only trying to convince people that they are cute.

I'm not saying that it was the same for you, EllBee, since you lived in the northern wilds, but I can't help but laugh at my memories of people freaking out at crows that flew over like bats, nowhere near us.

It is always fun when a cat leaves a dead bat on your doorstep as a present.

Ferrick just called my mom adorable.

Cynthia, you are so right! That bat is precious! Thanks so much for the URL! I'll have to put him (and his widdle nose) up as my wallpaper for awhile... =o)

Actually, I think Ferrick also called you adorable. Whoever Ferrick is

When you are courting a nice girl an hour seems like a second. When you sit on a red-hot cinder a second seems like an hour. That's relativity. by free online poker

review the facts and figures related to valium.

Posted by: valium review at 8:47 PM, December 26, 2004

Cheap valium is available on the internet and prices drastically lower than your local pharmacy. This is because major pharmaceutical companies have a legal stranglehold on the US which basically allows them a monopolistic pricing structure.
