Still waiting

Following up on my previous post about the murder trial: I'm still waiting for the jury to decide eight more charges, plus a bunch of enhancements, and they don't resume deliberations until Tuesday morning. They did, however, convict one defendant of robbery and burglary and some enhancements that mean he's already toast -- and they haven't even decided the murder charges yet. But the rest of it is still up in the air, and I'm left to wonder some more.

In other news, though, I found a white hair today. I'm in mourning.

Oh please. I've been finding gray hairs for years now. And I'm reminded of it every time I go to get my hair cut.

The ratio of tiny brown hairs to tiny gray hairs is decreasing. :(

But, you see, guys can get away with it much more easily because it just creates the "handsomely dignified" look. Unless women have growing children, they're just not old enough to go gray. I suppose I could suddenly adopt children, but I don't think that's quite the solution I had in mind.

I have found exactly two grey hairs on my head in my entire life. The most recent one was startling -- my hair is fairly short, and I look at it every day. Finding one hair, full length, stark grey against the background of lush brown and right near the front of my head, was very strange. I could only assume that it had been a brown hair the day before, and had turned grey over the course of twenty-four hours, which is INSANE. And it didn't like the slightest bit dignified. Some men do go grey in a dignified manner, but that generally involves silver hairs appearing at the temples or in the beard at first, and then spreading. Random GREY hairs on the top of a man's head look stupid. At least, it did on me.

And now, I will descend from my soapbox.
