More bats

More evil bat news today, thanks to Dave Barry's Web site which keeps me updated on all important and unimportant news. You weird people keep trying to say that those creatures are cute and harmless. Tell that to the woman who now has to wait to see if she has rabies -- all because she was sound asleep when a bat bit her ON THE BUTT.

UPDATE: Still more bad news.

OK, but bats are far from the only rabies-spreading animals out there. If you're going to continue to claim that your anti-bat stance is really an anti-rabies stance, then you'll have to also be against dogs, cats, foxes and pretty much all non-cloven hoofed (hooved?) mammals.

Rabies is bad, and you should wipe it out, like we did over here. Then everyone would be happy. Especially the bats, who are all protected species.

Unlike dogs, cats and other semi-civilized creatures, bats tend to stay away from people unless they have rabies.

Also, what's up with the "you" and "we" business? You're going to have to switch allegiance pretty soon, you know.

Can we name the bat "Kujo?"

You do know that the more you talk about a topic, like BATS!!!, the more likely something will happen to you. It's true. I read it in an email. It happened to someone my friend's mailman heard about on the Internet.

I'd be very careful if I were you. And bats are attracted to red hair. And they prefer soy milk in their lattes.

Ferrick: I don't generally drink lattes, but I'll keep that in mind.

Tom: Sure, you can name the bat Kujo, but the question is, which bat are you referring to?

He that hath wife and children hath given hostages to fortune; for they are impediments to great enterprises, either of virtue or mischief. Certainly the best works, and of greatest merit for the public, have proceeded from the unmarried or childless men; which both in affection and means, have married and endowed the public. by online poker
