This is an attempt to visually capture the people and
things that matter to me. Whether or not that attempt is successful has

Photography is an art.
Mount Shasta, California
I took this photo a few years ago when I pulled my car off the side of
the road and waded through ankle-deep snow that seeped quickly through
my shoes. I saw this kind of view every day until the age of 18, and it
was only after I moved away that I realized I had taken it for granted.
This picture makes me both happy and a bit homesick every time I see it.
