After nearly a year and a half of working for the Sacramento County Water Quality Department, the time came for me to move on to a new job. Although all jobs have their ups and downs, I worked with some amazing people. We made jokes, shared stories, learned from one another and ultimately formed friendships. Before I left, Paula organized a luncheon on my behalf as a way of saying farewell.

Dave looked a bit
scared of the camera,
but Claudia smiled.
Claudia, my boss, and Dave with a slightly

Meanwhile, Bernie posed with her

Paula, our "Martha Stewart," created a
very elegant lunch.
I opened a card and presents while Dave
eyed the camera.
Either my present was funny, or Bernie had cracked another joke.
Bernie was on the
verge of telling another funny story.

Roni was ready to go camping, but he made time for my lunch.
Wendell couldn't attend
at the last minute, but
he still had a place.
For dessert, we had Paula's cheesecake
with strawberries.
The fun ended, and
I soon found myself
in my cubicle again.
